88 4Runner Rear Bump Stop Options

I have everything to do a Zuk mod and BJ spacers to achieve a little lift except for my rear bump stops. I have tried for the life of me to find some but being from the rustbelt that has been impossible.

So my question is has anyone else ever run into this issue and what did you use instead of the factory bump stops?

I'm thinking about making my own coil spring "mounts" but I currently only have access to one of those cheapie harbor freight welders.

Any insight on this would be much appreciated!

When I did the zuk mod on my 98 tacoma i made a bracket mount using some 2" tubing (cant remember too well) and i just welded it. Im sure that welder you got is plenty. No pictures sorry I ended up putting air bags on it since I use my truck for work alot more then just rock crawling and in order to put the air bags on i had to grind the make shift brackets off.

But some exhaust tubing or regular tubing for extra strength should work fine it did for me and I had them on for a good 5 months or more.

My truck didn't have any bumpstops when I zuk'd it, I ended up finding some here on the classified. Couple of weeks ago I was at a pick & pull looking for odds and ends and saw 4 different toyota's with perfect bump stops, maybe check your local auto wreckers.

You used exhaust tubing for bump stop brackets. I do not approve.
