Good deal, gives me an idea of timeline anyway I'm in no rush to get started yet. Almost have my 3vze buttoned back up, and hopefully that'll run well beyond the time I'm ready to swap, but gives me plenty of time to research (and watch and see how you do).

I still haven't got anywhere either . Apart from stripping down the. Crashed truck . Once the days get a bit longer and a bit warmer I get some more done . But still haven't had the single cab dropped off yet. After paying for it a couple of months ago . I have stripped the engine bay loom out and Will be able to see what of that loom is needed to make the factory ecu. Work once I have some time to get into it .

^^^ I keep checking your FB page for updates....and all I see are sheep...hahaha.
There is also a fellow in Jamaca, doing the swap, but his thread hasn't been updated either.

Lol. We just did a 3000km drive (2000 miles) And dropped off some more parts that i sold . I'm being careful not to sell anything that may be needed in the conversion . And I'm keeping my eyes out for trucks truck that have had a 1kz conversion. To see what they did with the transfer case . I' think it can be put onto the 151r gearbox thats attached to it currently . Once I pull the motor and box out of the wreck. I will lay everything up on the ground. That is needed Wiring wise and then start removing unused looms

Parts Sources
I have no affiliation with these sites, but they seem to be very good considering the reviews on Ih8mud.

Output shaft for front drive shaft on the 2008 gearbox is on the wrong side for a beam axle. I'm hoping the assembly off the end of the 94 gearbox will bolt onto the 2008 . So I can use the newer gearbox

Gotcha, but I think you need a 96+ gearbox, as the bolt pattern changed when toyota switch the front prop shaft side...at least here in the US. I'm hoping i can swap my 94 trans tail housing onto the 06 R151 trans so i can run the R1FA transfer. Perhaps you could use the tail shaft from an older 151, I dont think you all got the R150, but they are basically the same transmissions.

UnHoly motorsports Shop Build
Yes, I am posting this in both of my threads...
Just so no one thinks I have given up or abandoned this thread, i'm giving a somewhat relevant update to my build and engine swap status....
I will be moving the rig into a my buddies new shop/garage we have named UnHoly Motorsports, not a company, he does some side work/maintenance on friends bikes as well as doing work on his own vehicles. He needed a larger shop he could fit his 68' c20 (named: Nessarose) in to work on. I am donating time and supplies to get this subterranean garage setup for use as we have 3 engine swaps lined up, but i get to go first!
The shop is below grade, but entry is a t street level, so no natural light, and wet/damp at times. We repaired the gutters which help the damp issue, and DryLok'd the walls. The two bay garage is 9.5' each bay and 30' deep with 9.5' ceiling heights, should be a good amount of space for and engine swap. Garage was just a big room filled with the owners stuff that was getting wet and deteriorating, so we helped him do a hoarding cleanse, and now we have a nice big space. We needed to add some shelving you can see in the photos below, along with a workbench and storage area. the addition of a fridge, work table and parts cleaner are next on the list of improvements to the shop.
There was only one light running off the house kitchen breaker when we investigated the building. Well, this simply will not due, so we ran new electric to a sub-panel so we can weld and run the compressor. next was new lighting, fluorescent housings donated by friends, then we updated all 24 bulbs to LEDs. Awesome light, and draw only a fraction of power with everything on. Bulbs were $7 each, cool thing is you can plug them right into and extension cord as a portable light.
The shop will be ready for operation in the next couple weeks, so hopefully I will be engine swapping before the month is over.
Silly banner i made for our faux shop...
9.5' tall walls, getting painted...
And 15 gallons of DryLok later...
Bench Area
Shelving on automotive side of shop (awning was from my friends original restaraunt, tool boxes will be located under it)
Shot from motorcycle side of shop
LED plugged into an extension cord...

I wish the shop was in my backyard, but better then doing the swap in my driveway. Since the shop is not at my house, this may take longer.

Shop Update, and parts
Proper calendars for the shop... the one on the right was from a parts store, sent to me from my mate in Aussie land
Doc Merlin(resident mechanical wizard) fine tuning the xr50, he traded the squirt bike for a Matco 220v welder
Just a shot of the shop from the door, and showing off my hammock location(necessary shop tool when pulling long days away from home)
the real reason for this post...new parts! Waterpump, thermostat, and oil filters...radiator should arrive today.
transported the engine and all necessary parts to the shop over the weekend.
2017 IS the year of the motor swap, after my swap we have 2 LS-X swaps waiting...BMW e36 M3 & GM C20 longbed, possibly a 3rd LS swap into a 98 Discovery if 2017 has enough time left in it.
