88 4 runner fuel tank replacement

So my 3.4 swapped sr5 had its tank replaced about 3 years ago. The garage (who I used to trust) apparently put some kinda junk in there because the tank has developed cracks in the bottom of it.

I'm undertaking this job. Got the skid plate off, loosened a few of the tank bolts. Opened the pass seat access and it looks like the original fuel sending unit was reused. The one flair nut that has to loosened...isn't. Like, it ain't happening. I was thinking of dropping the tank and then getting access to the next connection point (which is sorta down between tank and the truck a bit).

Is there enough room (ie slack in these fuel lines) to drop the tank and then loosen them? The tank has gotta be 99% (or more) empty...but heating that nut sounds like a real bad idea.

Alos, I was looking for the replacement parts and on villagetoyoparts, they have 3 choices. My vintage has vn66 in it...but the one for vn66 doesn't look like the unit which is in my truck right now. Any thoughts/advice on this?

Cant suggest anything for the replacement tank. On the Fuel Pump bracket what I do is remove the 7 bolts and lower the tank and leave the assembly attached to the fuel supply line. You don't want to break that metal line as you will need to buy a new pump assembly and can be hard to find and expensive.
