Unhappy 88 3.0 start then die!!! help!!!!!

so i have an 88 toyota pick up stock everything pretty much but 33s. so i went to the river for swimming after work one day drove there 70 mph all the way there just fine. there about 4 hours then went to leave and truck would start for one sec exactly then die...if i try again it just turns over, wait a min and it witll run a sec and die again...i have no idea whats going on. i dropped the gas tank and pulled the fuel pump and its spraying like crazy just fine. hard wired it to a toggle switch in the cab...still doing the same thing??? any ideas i miss hitting trails!

Check your vacuum lines. When I first tried starting my 3.4 swap, it'd do the the same thing because I didn't have any of the lines ran at the time. One of yours could have come loose during your drive to the river.

have you checked for spark or fuel??? Possibly a bad fuel pump relay or fuse? gotta see if the pump is functioning...

truck isnt out of gas???

so you have fuel at the fuel rail with the fuel pump hooked up??

YA 4th of a tank. Dropped the tank. HArd wired the pump out of the tank to a bat and it pumped gas like crazy in a bucket... relay shouldn't matter since I wired it from the tank to a switch to the battery... the longer it sits the longer it will run. LIKe 3 seconds instead of one. It's getting great spark. I know thefuel rail isgettin gas cuz I pulled a line and it prayed about 5 feet lol

My truck acts like that when I forget to plug the MAF back in, just an idea for something to check.

new to this... cant figure out how to post my question... I have a 91 toyota pick-up, with a 3.0L... valve cover was leaking so I replaced the gasket... I also replace the cap, rotor and distributor o-ring as well... now the truck wont turn over... if it helps, I did pressure wash the engine... could I have jacked something up when washing it? I have spark... I was also thinking it could be my mass air flow sensor... any ideas? Thanks for any help...
