For someone that has never done any sort of paint work on anything, aside from spray painting a race car, that stuff works good for me. I do not know specifics on what plastic will hold up to what chemical, so it was worth the peace of mind for me.

Yea man, good job. I think it will hold up well. Alcohlol cleans it, clear primer or adhesion promoter makes it stick.

Use tire degreaser and a pressure washer on the carpet. I have done it many of times and it works well.

Aside from the rear carpet, the rest of the interior pieces are in good shape. I was comparing the color match today in the sun, and its a dead nuts on match to the rest of the pieces.

Wanna help me paint mine?
The color on mine isn't bad, its the scratches to the plastic i have to look at. oh well.

Mine had a great interior, only real problem are some rips in the dirver seat.
It had a SPOTless dash, had a dash mat its whole life, but it was getting in the way of the defroster when wheeling one day so i ripped it off, and a piece of Velcro took a quarter sized chunk of plastic off the dash.

Know of any solutions for that? lol

Man...I need to do this to the black console that surrounds my stereo, it's pretty nasty.

Or maybe I'll get around to making a sheet metal dash one day...That's a daunting project right there.

Also, $127 for a new passenger area carpet here. You'll never find a used one in good condition methinks.

Those panels look really good, I'm going to try this ,thanks. I'm confused alot of the rigs I see on yotatech have been rolled, bounced off rocks, trees, some rigs don't even look like yotas anymore, and some think your carpet doesn't look good? lol.

The Duplicolor brand vinyl spray color charcoal is very close to the original also.

I haven't had much luck with Duplicolor. Some of their colors leave much to be desired in the matching department, and the quality seems so-so.

I will NEVER use DUPLICOLOR again.....

when i built my SFA, i used a wire wheel on the axle, then primed it and painted it and the paint is chipping off SOOO badly..

Ill stick with rustoelum.

For plastic SEM is the way to go. duplicolor is crappy because its a lacquer, same with most of the krylon paints.
