87 22R - Mixture Control Valve Tube ?

After probably 8 years of owning my 87 I finally used one of the vacuum diagrams here on Yotatech to check routing of my lines. I did this because all of this time there was a hose hanging off my air filter box (not the right word) that I could not find a home for.

I found a couple lines were routed wrong (even though it has run and idled pretty well all of these years) and fixed those. The hose in question is the large one coming from the mixture control valve and should lead to a large hose connection from a threaded-in unit off the head. It has a couple other vacuum lines running out of it plus the large connection. Here is what I'm talking about (pic borrowed from another post here):

It is the connection to the right of the circled 2 in the pic.

The problem is, my truck does not have this connection. Where this connection is in the pic, it is a solid piece with no opening. I can upload a pic if needed.

I was told from the PO that the factory motor threw a rod and the motor was replaced from another Yota with a 22R.

So it runs pretty good and it has never been hooked up. Would you recommend I go to a junk yard and pick up the piece with the connection or can I live w/o it?

I did not ask about those. I took the picture from somewhere else.
