86 needs box
Hey..i'm new to the site and to mechanics, now i have a toyota 86 that i bought from some kid for 2 grand the coolant temp sensor is not working properly because i have little power and uses alot more gas then it should. With that in mind i have 33x12.5x15r which i don't think should be that insane on gas and secondly i had a question about putting a box on it..
There is a guy selling a 8 foot 81 toyota pickup box with no rust for 200$ would that be able to go on my truck?
Any help and advice about my truck would be appreciated! :wabbit:

Well, the box is from a different body style, and without knowing if your truck is a short or long bed it'd be hard to say. Anything can be done, but a first gen box on a 2nd gen truck wouldn't be something I'd do.
Other than the box were you asking a question about your truck there? Kinda hard to tell.

Welcome to Yotatech. I have a 86 truck also. On the box part Im about 99% sure that the 81 wont fit. There might be a trick to make it fit but Im not sure on that. I had a set of 32x11.5R15s on mine and I got about 17-18mpg and that was at about 200000miles on the 22re, when I went to 35x12.5R15 I got about 14-15mpg. Hope this helps

Yeah I was just wondering if maybe the coolant temp sensor was the problem I have little to no power. And yeah I was reading up 81 won't fit thanks for the replies though!
