2jz-gte motor or one of these if the wife says yes http://www.toyotacatalog.net/M1WebGe...6-45A2AAEF4CE0
power glide 2-speed trany
twin to a large single turbo upgrade
flip the rear axel and drop the front
drag slicks in rear skinnys up front

drop the front ifs and run 2WD
tin and tub the truck
track bars in the rear
possible rhd conversion
weld the rear spider gears
gut the whole inside leaving the two front seats
just a few gauges

is there any thing that i've missed let me know and just let me know what everyone thinks i know its been done but not this far i know theres the guy with the 2jzte in his pick up still 4WD but he sold his and i wanna make mine ONLY 2WD drag truck only but ill drive her on the streets from time to time to keep her running the colors will be black on black with black tinted windows let me know what you guys think????? oh and yes the top will still be removeable but a full inside roll cage so far i got the go ahead on everything

ditto. you sound like you know what you're doing, so hit the junk yard and fire up your torch. besides, this way you can tow it to the track with the runner.

i love rolling fishtails. my 94 will do it in the rain, and it is so fun.

unfortunatly this hard acceleration is experienced leaving school zones and law enforcement frowns on that.

however making a drag 1st gen 4runner would be sweet and totally original, it would also make a badass sleeper

These truck's chassis are very rigid so actually it will likely handle a butt load of torque. Get something as said with a blown engine and have at it.

great idea, everything u said is cool(thats what i wanna do with my 87 2x4 truck), but before u go and drop 22k on a motor, build up a 22re or whatever, twin turbo and /or 2 shot of nos and work out all the kinks, and after u toast the 22 and still want to spend 22k on a engine go for it.
