Yes they are the regular KM mud terrains. I will make that correction. Thanks.
Terry, I will check on the rear bumper tomorrow in the daylight. I think it is factory (seems to have factory step pads and the tire peering doo-hicky alignment port). Everything does align good. I had the hitch on my sons 86 runner and moved it to "Tuck" to pull the pop-up with it next spring. I will put one back on Colby's Runner later.
BTW Terry I was looking over your builds today.good work.

the latest..
Tuck got some new shoes. a new set of Maxxis Big Horn 35x12.50x15's on the 15x12 Mickey Thompson Classic wheels. The new tires really made the wheels pop.
I took the truck recently to a shop to have the converter replaced as I thought the old one was clogged. Welded the new one on, and it still ran bad, doing some diagnostics I found the #3 Cylinder was not firing. I found the spark plug was jammed up with oil. My first thought was I popped a piston ring while towing a camper. I freaked out and began pricing long blocks. Upon recommendation from Ted at engnbldr.com, and a buddy locally, I took it for a compression test and found that the exhaust valve was badly burnt. Showing only 90lbs of pressure.
I had a good head from my sons "86 4Runner heart transplant, and removed it for polishing and prep for tucks powerplant. I decided to give it a little more "pep" so I ordered the 268C Torkr cam from engnbldr.com and $119 later she is on the way.
I plan to install a header that I have had in storage for about a year, new high flow cat, new turbo muffler and new piping.
This should grant a substantial power increase. I am debating the injector upgrade that has been posted on yotatech.
I removed the valve cover from the previous transplant, and cleaned, sanded and I am in the process of painting it.

Awesome 4runner man really cleaned up nicely.
I do have a question though, is that inclinometer stock to your runner? I have a different styled one in my runner and have just never seen one like that.

Cover Done...
Got the valve cover done. Just waiting for the new cam, and the re-assembly!
Then it is a short trip to Benny's Muffler Shop, and VAVOOM!

Well I pulled the trigger on the flamethrower injectors. Figured I might as well since its is gonna be apart anyway.
Hope this adds even more to the performance.

Got the new cam in got the new injectors installed, but the exhaust system needed replaced. So on my way there about 10 miles into the trip I noticed that the power was decreasing. I thought that the exhaust may be the culpret since it had a significant leak in it. Got on to the muffler shop, got the header installed, a new high flow converter, and a Borla muffler along with all new pipe. $413 bucks later and I fire it up, and it sounds great but there is a noticable stumble in the motor. 3 miles into the return trip the truck falls on its face. I get it off interstate and coast into a gas station.
Turns out the injectors are leaking around the electrical connection and the fuel filter is clogged with rust from the old tank. Found this after some disassembly and a tow bill.
I contacted injectordyne and explained the situation and they sent me a replacement set. installing the new injectors tomorrow, installed a new fuel pump, and new fuel filter.
Hoping the new parts will correct the stumbling problem. with all the new parts installed the old dude should run like a scalded dog. We'll see.

Added a little paint
Done a couple engine bay touch ups today. This is something that I have always wanted to do and after much drueling over some of the other builds on Yotatech, I just had to do it.

Planning on upgrading the lock out hubs to manual lock outs as soon as I can get a couple more cone, bolt sets.

Always tinkering a little...

Congrats Mason on the new purchase. I have always loved the 1st gen 4Runners. This is perfect for my family, my desire to constantly tinker with something, and the cult-following and dedication of the 1st gen crowd is awesome.

I switched the troublesome auto locking hubs to manual locks. starting on the lest side, I spent probably 1 1/2 hours on the change out.The drivers side took only about 20mins. I thought I was missing some springs, but cleaning and closer inspection reveled that they were in there. I got the rebuild kit from WABFAB, and the hubs were from an old lift kit reclaiming.
they went together smoothly once I figured everything out. Painted the hub bodies, dials and bolts.

Got the new lock outs installed just in time for winter weather. Got all the necessary parts from WABFAB. Turned out great. The auto lock hubs were in rough shape.
My sons Runner is down with a congested fuel filter. So he has been driving TUCK this week. He came home tonight and the baffles are rattling in the Borla muffler I had installed in September. Looks like a trip to Benny's pipe and Muffler is in order.

Well, my recently installed muffler got a little louder, and I noticed some rattling in the muffler, [IMG][/IMG] I sure hope this fixes my problem, got the muffler replaced under warranty, but I don't think the next one will be free.
