85 4Runner: Help me name this part?

Hi All,

I recently discovered a broken cover/gurard of sorts behind my front drive shaft. I noticed it when it started making noise when I activated my 4wd and I can't seem to find out what the part is (probably because I don't even know how to describe it). Thanks for anyone that can help.

COVER SUB-ASSY, PROPELLER SHAFT DUST 37701-35030
COVER, PROPELLER SHAFT DUST, NO.2 37713-35020

But don't get too excited; Toyota no longer makes them. Say hello to your local salvage yard.

Thanks, Scope. Is that a "crucial" cover? I was just going to pull it off for now

It goes up by the transfer case
it "protects" the double cardan joint

I'd unbolt it and remove it for now.
Try not to bend it up and stuff.

If I recall - its bolted to a bracket that s bolted to the trans.
There are like 2 bolts holding it to the bracket.
My guess is that those two bolts are gone

So you may have "all the parts" and just need some metric bolts

Looks like a cover for the front diff. First time I have ever seen on the front diff. Most probably never get re installed when doing front axle or U-joint work. You wont need it.
