7.5" diff install

Anyone have picture or links to a gear install on a IFS front diff? I am really comfortable with the adjuster nuts on the 8" but I've never had experience with shims.

I've found this one so far, by Zuk. http://www.gearinstalls.com/ifsinstall.htm

Also, when installing a Truetrac/ ARB/ carrier replacement, the pinion depth doesn't need to be touched, only the backlash...correct?

Correct.....pinion depth is left alone. You will likely need some different washer plates to set the BL and CBPL correctly.

That makes sense, but just confirming.

Right now I am toying with the thought (and only a thought) of putting in a front Truetrac for snow, dirt and loose gravel. I'm aware of the shortcomings when it comes to rock climbing, but I don't really do any of that- at least not enough to warrant two lockers. The time I would use it would be in the snow, or on muddy hills, loose gravel and in deep snow.

If I came across one cheap, I might buy it, but I just put in 4.56 thirds and don't want to take them out again for a bit.
