I'm going to say no. I'm 6 feet and I had the seat as far back as it would go, which was far enough for me, but not someone 6'5".

You're probably going to have to remount the adjustment rail, and place it a little farther back- BUT there is no room to do so in a reg cab. Look for an extra cab.

I'm 6'4 210. I have two 6x9's boxed behind the bench seat which prevents me from moving all the way back and a roll cage. I fit in my truck no problem.

im 6'7" 360 lbs. and drive a 4runner. My biggest advice would be to buy a grant steering wheel that is smaller. this helps me as well as laying the seat back a lil. I tell everybody that i sacrificed my comfort for the reliability of the vehicle! sorry i know its not a reg cab.

My cousin's 6'5 with pretty broad shoulders and he drive's my singlecab '84 all the time no biggy. I'm 5'9 with shoulders a good 2-3 hands width wider than his though, and my only complaint is that I almost always have to drive with the windows down, and I touch shoulders with the gf when she rides shotgun (and she's a pretty small and petite thing).

I know, I'm a freak. I great wider instead of taller like the rest of the family lol.

I think it depends on your position of comfort while driving. I sit pretty upright and am uncomfortable leaning back too far lowrider style. I'm 6'4" and could go 1 notch further back in my '86 regular cab. I do think tilt steering is a requirement for the tall ones though.

Length isn't everything...also have to have some girth

Yeah...probably best if he just went and sat in one and drove it around and see his decision from there.

I drove a '85 reg cab and a '89 reg cab. Back then I weighed around 200 and I'm 6' tall and in my early 20's. It was ok for short distances, but it sucked driving from San Diego ( Camp Pendleton) to Seattle and back again. Years later ( right now....) I have a '92 xcab SR5. I'm up to 230 lbs. The stock bench seat kills my lower back after more than 2 hours behind the wheel, but I have much more room inside of the cab.

The reason for the long, drawn out reply: look for an extra cab truck. If you buy a reg cab, the first time you drive an extra cab you will kick yourself for not buying one in the first place!
