5 speed swap pedal set question
I have an 86 4Runner 22re auto, and have a line on a trans. right now (as long as it doesn't sell before I can look at it on Saturday). Do I need to get a pedal set from an 86-89 4Runner/pickup or would anything from 84-95 work? I know for a fact the pedal sets for 79-83's were a lot different, at least the gas pedal. Also does it matter if it comes from a v6 truck? I'm sure I'll have questions before every part I purchase so I apologize in advance.

the auto pedal assemblies actually have all the holes for the clutch pedal, so if your in a bind, you can cut the clutch pedal off any year and weld it back on to your setup, just switch out the brake pedals and your good to go.

I've been quoted $25 at the local Toy yard so I think I'll just get the entire assembly but good info. I appreciate it.

I'm also wondering.....I already have a slave and a master that were given to me and they came from a 94 pickup that had a w56 (Not sure if its an A etc.). Do I need to make sure the slave/master are matched to the transmission that I end up with?

Good to know. How about the crossmember, will I need to get one from a manual truck? I plan on going with one from Budbuilt eventually but for now it's going to be all stock parts going into this (aside from my Marlin clutch ).

Crossmembers are Identical - however the mount is radically different. Did the manual to auto (reverse of yours) back in october, used the same crossmember - had to swap the mount though.
