5 speed swap
I am wanting to swap my auto for a 5 speed in my 95 4Runner. Does anybody know of a write up or maybe some sort of info on this? What should I prepare for? Mainly I am worried of wiring differences. Also It would be really nice if somebody who has done this could maybe give a list of needed parts.
I thank you for any help you can prvide. Iam a skilled mechanic but I hate to dive into any project blind and it always helps to speak with people who have done it.

use the little search button and search "5 speed swap" or Transmission swap. There is a couple good writeups on here as well as post that direct you to other websites that have alot of good information that you are looking for.

youll need the tranny preferably the r150f and if you can r151f with the r150f bellhousing. the r151f has a lower first gear. youll need the pedal assembly from a similar gen truck or 4runner it will bolt right up. youll need a clutch slave and master cylinder. the lines are easy to run but be sure to include a soft line to acomidate engine flexing. im not sure on wiring and how its effected but i know its been done. theres a write up online somewere a guy did this into a new tacoma. look up toyota tacoma 5speed swap and you may find it. its not on this forum. i did the swap along with a 3.4 swap and it was actualy really easy
