4runner kayline STC soft top help

Hey all. im pretty new around here but am no stranger to car oriented messageboards.

heres the link to my "build"/intro thread:
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...-build-266581/

i found a budbuilt skid and a soft top for sale on craigslist and jumped on them. My brother picked them up for me since he was more local so i basically bought them sight unseen.

I received the top itself, the two hoops (#'s 12 and 13), and the two small brackets that attach to the bottom of one of the hoops (#8).

stuff i need help with from you guys:
1. dimensions to make my own main hoop bracket. I need length, height, distance from hole to hole, hole location dimensions, etc.

2. snap rails, especially the one that goes around the cab. id like to make the bed rails mount to the same top bolt holes as the hard top, just as the 4crawler kit does.

3. The specifics of how the footman loops function.

4. dim's of the support rod.

I havent found many pictures detailing the parts of this top. Could anyone with one of these tops help me out? pictures would be awesome.

Thanks all, cant wait to get this top on.

I've got one.

The bow-mount brackets (#6):
Length 5.75"
Outside width 1.25"
Inside width 1.125"
Height 1"
Hole diam: 0.25"
distance between holes: 5.125"

The holes on the bottom aren't critical in terms of location. I just use two of the diagonal holes.

The horizontal rods (14) are made of 3/8" diameter steel with a rubber cap on one end and a flanged end on the other:
Total length: 28"
Length from flange (exposed length when in-use) 27"
The diameter of the flanged end is 1/2" where it goes into a hole drilled in the back of the cab.

The #15 footman loops attach on either side of the top of the tailgate openings. The sheet metal where the back of the bedsides reach the tailgate opening has a narrow protrusion on each side that the footman loops go on top of. Inside each rear corner of the soft top is a strap and buckle. The straps go through the footman loops and back through the buckles to tension the top (in combination with the #8 cantilevered tensioning brackets).

I scanned the instruction packet and took pictures of the #6 brackets and the #14 rods.
They're here:

The cab aluminum is just aluminum strap with a lip on the back edge to help keep water out and a little foam tape between the strip and the cab. They're drill-as-you-go affairs.

Eric

Here's a pic of a side snap-rail. It's partially concealed by the truck camper now. I had to cut off the part where the footman loop goes to get the truck camper to fit, otherwise you'd see that too.
