48" or 51" RUF conversion better?

I am doing a SAS on my 86 right now. I have some 48" in rear springs but wondering if some 51" rears from a later model would be better.

Would I get a little more travel?

Any other reasons why a 51" spring would be better?

I am planning on 37"'s with as little lift as possible.. I have F150 springs in the rear.

Thanks

well yes the longer the spring better the flex..but your going to have to mount your front spring hanger forward a little and boomerang shackles wouldnt be a bad idea...and i cant wait for my F-150's im still trying to find a set of 51's...their hard to find???
