Alright, I apologize in advance for asking another "what size tire..." question,but I kinda need to know the answer. I've got a 4" rough country suspension lift and I plan on doing a 3" body lift soon. Me and my buddy made a day out of doing a some torsion bar tweaking,etc and long story short, a 2" rear shackle kit made the thing sit about level. The CV angles are where I want them, and all is good on that end. I've got some crazy offset wheels that make 33x12.50 tires stick out about 3 inches if not more. So, I'm wanting to clear a 36x12.50R15 TSL Swamper and I'm wondering if 8-9" of lift will be enough.

customers truck in my shop right now has the same amount of lift and clears 38 swampers nicely, thats probably about tops for that lift.

I got the same execpt I have it on 16 in rims And I barely rub when its flexed out and thats only with a 4 inch lift so you should be good

I'm running the same lift but I also have bj spacers and an Irok 36x13.5 is just about the perfect tire...

Uhm, why not cutting abit from the body and put fender flares?
I have a 3" lift on body, and 4" on chassis (longer coils) and I can fit 44s..
With IFS you can run 38s pretty well on 2" on body and 1" on chassis..
But that's just my 2 cents...

I ran 38.5 x 15.5 x 15 Denman Ground Hawgs with the same lift, but it took 5.71 gears to spin em good.

Just lift it, then take it down to the tire store and get the biggest tire that will fit.

38's for the street and 36's for wheeling. Put the tires on first then decide how much body lift you need to clear them when flexed. You may get away with 2" - every little bit you save lowers your center of gravity.

By the way, love the truck. Had a 94 just like it with 35 bfg's, same color and all. Payments got the best of me so I sold it and went old school.

ovrrdrive what kind of backspacing or whatever did u have to get to run that 13.50? im thinking about getting some dick cpecks and i wanna run a 35 13.50BFG's mud terrains with rough country 4inch lift and probably a 2 or 3 inch body lift.

My truck is basically what's known over here in the states as a "mall crawler" which is a truck that's basically built for the street. Big lifts are all the rage down here and I just wanted to build it the way you see it... It does great offroad but it definitely has limitations...

Traction is absolutely amazing. They are the best offroad tire I've ever owned for the terrain I go in down here (which is basically hard pack, sand and mud).

The rims are Mickey Thompson Classic Locks in 15x10 with 3.5" backspace. If you do a bracket lift you have to run less that 3.75" BS or the steering knuckles will hit the tire. 3.5" BS gives plenty of room.

what do u mean by bracket lift? im gonna do the rough country 4in suspension and there 3 in body what else would i need to go with that to run the 35 13.50?

bracket lift, would be a 6" fabtech on a tacoma, or the 6" trailmaster, etc. It drops the diff five inches and maintains the stock geometry of the upper and lower a arms. I'm not familiar with the bracket lifts on the 86-95 pickups, i suppose it would be the procomp 4" kit.

The Rough Country is a bracket lift. The 4" suspension and 3" BL will be enough for 35's. Just make sure you have the proper backspacing for your wheels as Ovrrdrive mentioned.

I'm running 37x12.50 SSR's on 15x10 Centerline Hellcats with 4" Pro-Comp stage 2 and 3" BL.

I forgot about the rough country lift. I might get that for my 91 and throw a 3" body lift on as well. I will only use 35s though. I want a set of 35s so i can use on my 91 and tacoma.

what would the proper backspacing be if i wanted to run a 15x8 with a 35x13.50 BFG mud terrain
