Vacuum line deletes have probably been covered a billion times with mixed reviews. Since I have the intake manifolds off and removing the head sit seems like a good time to address a few of them.

Any advice is welcome or pictures of what has worked for you.

You can't delete any unless you are willing to live without the systems that the lines serve.

My vote is to preserve and restore any emissions systems that the machine was built with, don't cripple, or delete any of them.

The 3vz ecu was designed to make the engine function efficiently with these systems in good operating condition and none of them rob the engine of substantial power or performance.

Learn to know and love every damn one of those vacuum lines. Everything that breathes will thank you.

Not that I give a rat for statutes, but it is against the law to remove or disable any of the emissions systems, and it may well make your truck unsellable in many jurisdictions.

I should have been more clear. I restored the EGR function and added a magnaflow convertor that the PO removed.

I was referring to the following
.
PS idle lines (I really don't need it and rather not suck PS fluid into the intake if it fails)
Cruse control (removing mine since I never use it EVER)
4x4 activator on front diff (converting to manual warn hubs)

The PS idle-up and cruise, are fair game, I guess.

The cruise on my '95 3vz is all electric, but I know that some use vacuum.

You'll have to get into the ADD actuator at the front differential and clamp the sliding muff into the permanantly engaged position before you can get rid of its associated vacuum paraphenalia.

Your 4wd indicator light will remain on all the time then, unless you disable it.

I put selectable hubs on mine to stop the half-shafts and differential from turning while in 2wd, but I left the vacuum systems for ADD intact.

How did you like the selectable hubs over the autos. Any improvements or just reduced axle wear.

I found little difference in the performance,or economy department, but I feel better about half-shaft boot longevity.

Mostly I put em on because I was servicing the wheel bearings, and I had em on hand.

I'm not sure how differential lockers act with axle flanges and ADD, but no worries with selectable hubs, for sure.
