3vze tranny throttle cable stuck

Got my injectors back from witchhunter and put everything back together. Discovered that the cable that goes from the throttle body to the transmission is stuck in the non extended position. Might be bound up in the tranny. Idk. I just left it disconnected for now so I could test drive. Anyone know what issues I am facing leaving it disconnected for an extended amount of time. Anyone else run into an issue with this cable getting stuck and what I can do to remedy without dropping the trans pan.

For anyone that cares. $114 at the dealer for a new cable and a couple hours to install. Very easy. I decided it was not worth the risk of messing something up.

Its a kickdown cable, manually makes the trans shift into a lower gear when you mash the go pedal. Cable could be siezed or the valve in the transmission it connects to could be jammed up. More than likely its a bad cable, its more common of the two.
