3vze strange noise
Hey guys I've done a bunch of searches but nothing seems to be hitting the nail quite on the head here. My v6 has been making a strange rattle/ticking/knocking sound. So, I figured maybe it was my idler pulleys. It wasn't all that close to a timing belt replacement but, what the hell.
Both bearings made "some" noise. Nothing crazy.
Anyway, button it all back up and fire it up. And the noise was gone. Went for a drive down the road and once everything got nice and warm..... God damn noise came back. Seems even worse this time? Or it could just be me getting more frustrated with it.
So I thought that I would ask you fine folks here to see if you can set me in the right direction!!
There's a link to a short video clip of the noise.

LIGHTS need more of em, and less wind if you can manage haha.
Kind of sounds like an exhaust leak, but never changes it's pitch/frequency when you rev the engine... Soo inspect the fan and shroud, they're the only constant speed stuff I can think of off hand.
Yeah more lights and cup your hand around the mic for less wind interference.

I'll do that tomorrow. Just spent 4 hours doing the timing belt and test drive and ran out of day light! The fan seems a-okay though. And I took the shroud off years ago!
