So we have a small problem and it could be a few different issues.

I I made the mistake of putting PS fluid into the PS pump. Yes stupid I know. Any way I jacked up the front of the truck and unhooked the low pressure line. I worked the wheel back and forth probably 20 times adding fluid and flushing the system. Unfortanitly I still have no PS. I am using dextron V to flush the system

I am wondering if I installed the little check valve correctly.

I think the issue may be the flow control valve on the high pressure side. It fell out of the pump and I used a image online to re install it. Now looking at diagrams it may be wrong. I installed the spring between the valve and fitting. It looks like the spring is to go in first, then the valve, and then the fitting threads in for the high pressure line.

Still can't get the stupid valve out of the pump to install it correctly. Starting to consider pulling the pump so I can get the valve out..... This thing is just fighting me every step of the way.

Well it was a pain but I got the valve back out and installed correctly. After some more flushing and bleading the power steering is up and running.

Let this be a warning to every one. Double check the FSM before doing somthing stupid....
