Exclamation 3vze no compression at all on drivers side bank?

Okay im new to this forum so bare with me lol I've owned a few pickups with the 22re. But recently I've bought a 94 4runner with the 3vze.. The previous owner claims it ran perfect before sitting for a year and a half.. The motor is a replacement with only 20k miles.. I bought it knowing it had a no start condition.. After checking the spark fuel etc.. All checking out good.. I decided to check the compression.. And discovered the whole driver side bank has zero compression?!? Any idea what could be causing this? Help please?!?

Broken timing belt? Plugged intake (not likely)?

And good compression on the passenger side? That's a head-scratcher, but if the "knockpin" that connects the driver's side cam to the cam sprocket broke, I suppose that could happen. But then, you shouldn't get spark! (The distributor is driven by the driver's side cam.)

You could have a blown headgasket on that side, but I would be surprised to see it take out all three at once.

Has good compression on pass side.. I pulled the timing cover to see if the valves were stuck open.. But the seem to ve functioning freely.. Timing belt is still in tack.. Could it of just jumped time on driver side cam gear?

If the valve timing jumped by 2 or more teeth, the timing will be off enough to essentially give you zero compression. Seems like the most likely scenario to me.
