3vze newbie help needed
Just want to say HI! and start by saying thank you for everyones help as I have tolled this site before and due to the help I was able to fix a lot of stuff but now I am really stuck.
Just rebuilt a 3vze to include head rebuild, swapping blocks (my old one was corroded due to blown head gasket) new bearings, piston rings and everything else. Just did 500 miles on it with no problems. Now I adjusted the valves again, changed the oil and filter, fixed some dumb little stuff and now the problem-----
It idles like crap! surging rough idle there is nothing smooth about it. Runs great when you are on the gas. I did a search and adjusted the timing, adjusted the TPS. I just dont get it, ran great now runs like crap.
any help would be great. feel free to ask questions

Did you double check your timing? Possible that your distributor was installed incorrectly/180* off?
All your sensors connected? All your sensor connections cleaned and tested?
Your exhaust piping all connected? Running w/o an exhaust immediately after a rebuild as some have done will negatively effect.
Could also be bad gas and/or clogged injectors due to corrosion depending on how long it was sitting.
Have you ensured there's no air leaks/cracks on any of the vacuum lines or intake hoses?
Typically, if all the vacuum and mechanical is in order, then it's due to a sensor...
