3vze engine bay cleaning(pair and egr removal)

Ok so i have a leaking injector so i have to take off my plenum again. While im there im going to remove my egr and pair. Now i dont want a lecture on what these do, i know already. I have seen on here that people also have by passed some hard lines. id love to clean up my engine bay so if anyone has some pics of this done id love to see them! I know mudhippy has done it, but i cant seem to find which thread i saw his pics on.

Progress

Ok so i got the plenum off etc and fixed the injector seals. Now on to the cleanup, i got the EGR and PAIR off, and i found which hard lines the use and i was able to get a rough idea of which ones i can delete. I was left with only two hard lines and two of those iirc are for the power steering idle up, which on mine has been broken since i got it. I still have to see what on the plenum i dont need. Tonight ill be making the block off plates and doing some more looking at what lines i dont need.

The ones with blue tape, are the ones to be deleted, the ones outlined in red are the two keepers.

Here's the egr and pair:

Ok so i was searching earlier for more threads on this, and i found two fantastic ones. Im not sure i missed them before, but they are there. Anyway, i decided to go with a whole hardline delete, because i didnt like how all those empty lines looked. Tonight i should finish it up and ill post close up pics and more words about it.

Stumped.

Ok so i have done the complete hardline delete, and egr/pair all blocked off. Now it wont run, itll start then will not idle. It almost sounds like a plug wire isnt connected but, i have checked a hundred times and they are. It has to be a vacuum line, but i cant find it anywhere. Today since 9am i have taken the plenum off 3 times to check for problems, gone through all the vacuum lines too many times to count, and changed air intake tubes three times. I have no idea what could be wrong now, all the right lines are blocked off(should be) and as you'll see in the pics, anything that could leak got thoroughly rtv'd over and over. So anyone whos done this before, please help!

Ok so turns out my intake plenum is leaking, i had a stripped bolt from the po and it leaks now so im going to toyota tomorrow to get an oe gasket and im going to retap the stripped bolt hole. I did get to clean up all that excess rtv that i added to ensure nothing leaked, its much cleaner now. Ill post pics of it all done with a better camera this weekend.

Good news its not your whole plenum that is leaking just the bolt hole in the front. find a bolt and and some FIPG and seal it up. Took me awhile to find that this was the cause of my leak as well.. BTW your gonna love the egr delete.

Love it so far, much more room in the engine bay, just gotta clean up the rtv And it seems like i was actually running cooler today? I dont think it adds any power but its still worth it.
