3vze ecu compatability

3vze ecu compatability
Well I figured out the motor in my '95 4runner is not the original, it has the spring style non-hydraulic timing belt tensioner, which I read came on the 1990-92 motors.
Ive been wondering why the check engine light keeps coming on for the knock sensor, I put one in for a 95, but the 91 part number is different.
So basically im wondering if all 3vze ecus work with all 3vze motors. And does anyone know if the knock sensors are different from the early 90s motors to the 95s?

I thought the ECUs were the same, but the different part numbers give me pause. Did you replace the knock sensor wire? (almost always the cause of knock sensor issues on the threewheezy)
