3vze #2 idler pulley...what to use to seal?
I have some permatex water pump/thermostat rtv, can I use that for the upper idler pulley seal? Or should I use some ultra black? Does it matter which one? Just thought I'd ask quick before I start reassembly tomorrow.

I used the FIPG from the dealer. Which is $60.00 a tube. The parts guy even went "whoa" . for that interior idler connection... I read that permatex is fine. I ended using permatex to do the coolant connection for exterior part where the rad. hose connects. I figured that would tell me if the stuff failed I could easily repair. I made sure to let it cure for 24 hours too

The permatex will work fine. I really like the Right Stuff. Its great and comes in a can with a sqweez nozzle that makes it real easy to apply a nice bead. Screw FIPG lol I'm sure its good but way too expensive unless bought off ebay.....
