I have my 233k 3.slug, and it is dieing, I thinnk
I am angry though, It was all fine for its mileage until i decided to get rid of the oil leak at the covers.
no big deal right... I removed the upper intake,, 699 vacuum lines(overexagerate for emphasis) and then the covers. changed the gaskets, closed up the covers, new gasket, install upper intake, install vac. lines (numbered to organize, so i thojught) then started her up. There was a chirping and rattling noise ("oh *bananas* i dropped something in") but no I did not,I have everything and installed everything correct), I am sure i fouled up a vac. situation someqwhewre..anyone? I can hear tapping and clanking at the drivers side fuel rail and specifically in the FPR atop that rail....replaced FPR... no change....replaced plugs... replaced vac lines... modified vac. to the way i had it before emissions test.... hooked and unhooked EGR... is it over for my slug?.....
Anyone know where I can get a good motor?... I dont mean a high dollar did this to that engine, i need something simple and dependable somthing like what i had but with less mileage...lol....i hate the 3.slow, but it was a VERY dependable gutless wonder. any info or input on problem or engine is WELCOME!!!!
(just noticed pass. side has cam noise...ugghh)
