3rz power problems!!!

Hello everybody, I have a 1994 4runner which originally had the 22re motor. The previous owner swapped the 22 for the 3rz... It's still a 4 cylinder. Don't get me wrong, I love a good, reliable, simple engine but, where is the power? I would really appreciate any recommendations you guys got to boost the power a little bit!
Thanks,
ColoradoFourRunner

If the engine is running good and its geared correctly, the easiest thing to do would be to go drive a 22re powered truck and you will probably find it a lot more appealing to drive again.

^^ This. If you think it's under powered now, drive a 22re, yours will be a rocket

You might be having a problem. My 3RZ has plenty of power. Can easily break the 31's loose if I try. Can you gain speed in 5Th gear up a slight grade?

Yes, check out the Marlin Crawler board, they take boost quite well, and make some serious power. I have a KO4B dual scroll turbo sitting here for a later date.

My 3RZ scoots a heck of a lot better than my 22RE. I have a 2004 3RZ,W56,5:29s and 37's and I can actually pass cars now. Check out customtacos.com They are minitruck guys who turbo, supercharge, and eliminate all the crap on these motors...
