33x9.5 on 7.5 Rims?

Not to belabor this topic too much and certainly not to bring up the old "wide vs. skinny debate," but I plan on buying a set of 33x9.5x15 BFG AT's soon and would like the collective wheeling experience regarding these mounted to 7.5" rims.

I would like to be able to air down to 15-20 psi without worrying about popping a bead. Tire rack claims that the 9.5" wide tires are acceptable for the 6.5-8.5 rim size range.

Is there a significant difference in aired-down reliability between the 9.5" width and the 10.5" width?

2" difference you should be OK.

I ran 34x9.50 swampers on 8" rims, and that SUCKED. I was constantly getting damage to the rim of the wheel, and couldn't air down much.

AxleIke runs those on stock 7" rims and doesn't have too much trouble til he gets down to like 10 or 12 psi.

yeah.. thatll be fine. but if you really are worried go to an actually tire shop and have them test it out for you.. as in dropping the air pressure from what you have it when you are just normally driving..
