Hey all, to start off I've been looking around for weeks trying to find some legitimate yes-or-no answers to my question and haven't found anything definite.

I'm looking at buying some BFG A/T K02's in either 31x10.5 or 32x11.5. I will be buying some 15x8 wheels with a -19mm offset at the same time. I have a stock suspension. I would rather have the 32's, naturally, but if they only fit with a body or suspension lift then I can't do it. I will get a lift eventually but after forking out the $1300+ for the wheels and tires it'll be at least a few months until I can afford a lift. Now if those 32's rub, then I will be driving for at least three months with rubbing tires and I assume that will heavily damage my lovely new tires.
The offset is roughly 3/4 of an inch. That would mean that I could run a tire that is 3/4 of an inch wider than stock and have it fit like a stock tire (correct me if I'm wrong). I assume that the extra 1/4 of an inch of width and inch of height would not cause much of an issue, but before a big purchase I need a little more than an assumption...

So does anyone know, for sure, that 32x11.5 tires will fit and not rub on a stock suspension with a -19mm offset?

This is what I know about tires for a 90. WITH AN SR5 WHEE you can get a 33-1050 under it with a little rub. If you are going to be city driving you probably won't hurt the tire. Good luck finding a 33-1150

I don't know anything about 19mm offset. But a 31-1050 and a 32-1050 will fit great...AGAIN WITH AN SR5 WHEEL OR SR5 back spacing

From what I understand. Anything wider that 11 inches rubs on stock 4runners. You can play around with the tire calculator on Google and get close to 11 inches. If your trying to watch your penny's just get a 10.50 width (they are cheaper)

Thanks for the good info! I believe the SR5 backspacing is a 0 offset so it mounts right in the middle of the wheel. The -19mm offset would let me mount the wheel 19mm further out so hopefully that would mean I would have room. I doesn't look like they make a 32x10.5 in the BFG A/T, at least not offered from Tire Rack. I don't do any rock crawling or any intense wheeling, I'm more tempted by the overlanding world. So if I don't have problems driving around the city I probably wouldn't have many problems at all since I don't think I'll need to flex too much out in the bush.

I think his question pertains mostly to how much off set he needs to run a 33x12.50 or 32x11.50 tire with out rubbing. I can tell you my experince with yotas is kind of limited but my stock rims with 31x10.50s and torsion bars sitting level has plenty of room. i know lots of guys do run 33x12.50s on the stock 15x7 rims with some rubbing so if your rims have at least 15mm of additional clearance you should be fine. One of the more experienced guys will probably drop in and give you the break down

I think you asked my question better than I did. If you're running those 33x12.5's on stock then I would think the 11.5's with the -19mm offset would have plenty of room. I'll wait for a few more responses but I'm starting to lean toward clicking that buy button on the 32's.

No prob! According to some other references. SR5 offset is 4.5" or something like 30mm. Don't quote me on that. Make sure you get the correct wheel. Tire rack is a great place to get tires. If you want a 32 your better off going for a 265-70 or somewhere in that ball park

Well I pulled the trigger and got the 32's. I figure at most they will rub a little and I'll get under there with a baseball bat to bash out some space. I saw I fellow 2nd gen on the street today with 31" BFG's and decided I'm not going to half ass it and go stock size.

Hey did your 32 11.5s fit with the -19mm 15x8 rims? Stock height 2nd gen???

They fit like a glove. I have an aftermarket fender on the front passenger's side and it sticks out the tiniest bit on the bottom corner towards the rear of the car. That spot rubs when I turn the wheels all the way right and am backing up downhill, so not really an issue. Stock height, I don't think I'd get any other size, I especially like the width.
