With a 3" body lift you will need to extend the steering shaft ( adapter included in the better quality kits) and you will need to cut and weld in a 3" spacer (included in some kits) so your shifter is the right height.
Other then that its all brackets and bolts, very easy.
Heres my truck with just the 3" body lift, and 33x12.50" M/T's

Is there a reason why nobody puts their front lower valance back on after a body lift? Are there clearance problems, or do you guys leave it off for a better approach angle?

Mine was actually ripped off on that 4wheeling trip.
If you look at my avatar you can see I trimmed the bent parts and put it back on.
Some like the looks of it off, but I prefer to have it on, I think it looks better. It also protects the radiator a little bit.

The valence attaches to the bumper so it would be for approach angle and they just get busted up offroad. I've seen Jay's truck (above) with the valence on, in fact, it is in his profile picture above.

1. Because the valence is an ugly piece 'o e.
2.The steering extension from Performance Accessories 2 inch Bl doesn't work so good luck with yours. (And don't tell me it will because, it won't)

Sorry not to hijack but I got a 88' with a 3" BL. They did not raise the shifter (On it when I got it). Is this something I can make myself or do I have to buy it? Can anyone get me some pics? My shifter is down and it needs to come up lol.

Lol, I like my front valance; I just want to take it off and paint it black...
Hay Jay351, do you have an album on here with some bigger shots of the front of your truck? I like the way you trimmed that.

Password doesn't seem to want to work, but no biggie, that other picture is really good. May consider that if mine ever gets damaged; actually looks pretty cool!

I will look into the guest password - I thought I had changed the settings. *edit* I think I got it working*
Yeah I think it looks pretty good, a little different then the other ones around. If I could do it again I wouldn't end the valance where I did. I would let it wrap around and curve up to the bumper end.
Oh well, not worth the 25 bucks for a new one.

3 in BL and 31's. (The 31's are not in every picture, but the BL is).
