3.4 Swap ECU Compatability w/A340H and Late Model Mill

Hi, folks,
I have decided to bite the bullet and swap out my 3VZE in my 1990 SR5 4x4 for a 3.4. It blew the head gaskets for the last time!
Been doing a lot of reading and have been able to ascertain what I need for my swap with the exception of a couple of key issues. I plan on retaining my newly rebuilt A340H so I am pretty much relegated to use a T100 ECU...that I figured. But what I am unclear on is WHICH iteration of the 3.4 will this accommodate?
You see, I am in the Golden (shower) State of California and I have an appt. with the BAR ref. to see what HIS guidelines are. I am going to have to give him some info on the donor vehicle which, I do not have at the time as I was going to piece-meal this together. I read that some engines used different sensors (MAF) and EGR vs. non EGR. The TB will NOT be a drive by wire as I want to keep everything as simple as I can.
I guess what I am asking is what engine will be happy and not throwing CEL codes at me by sticking to the T100 ECU?

Thanx in advance,
Bud

Red face

The engine out of a T100 where the ECM comes from.

I am not a auto transmission person just going by what you said.

Trust me it is much easier to buy the complete donor vehicle.

I had auto tranny and swapped it out for a 5 speed when I converted my 88 4runner to a 3.4l. Makes conversion a lot easier if you're doing wiring yourself. Sell your newly rebuild auto for money to fund the project. Used manual tranny is easy to come by. If you want an auto, then I also agree that u world be better off using trans from auto donor t100. But not sure, maybe newer trans computer is comparable w old auto trans? Regardless, I would not recommend buying parts separately. U need a complete vehicle. Get a rollover or rust bucket. I live in ny state to easy to find low millage old vehicles that are rusted beyond repair.
