3.15 Gears???
O.k. I've looked at a few different websites, trying to figure out my ring and pinion ratio. My door seal sticker clearly says A/TM B05B/R150F. It's a 4T etc... vin truck.
Now according to what I've read that means I have 3.15 gears. Holy shi* that sucks.
It is a 94 ex-cab 4x4, 3.0, 5-speed. I currently get about 19.5-20 MPG, with 30x9.50 BFG's (PO installed). It is actually fairly strong. I must admit it has been years since I've drove anything other than a cummins, so I wasn't expecting much, but it really does surprise me.

I'm curious as to what website you have in mind because this one
http://www.brian894x4.com/Gearratiosanddiffs.html
and another one that I didn't save the link for but it did state that the figures it had for 4T vin trucks was not exact, both said: B = 8", 05 = 3.15, B = 4 pinion. So please if you have another source of information please share.
Enlighten me, I'm begging you.

Here's the link to the other website, keep in mind that this is a 4T vin truck not JT like most others. Many of the sites I've been to don't have any information for the 4T trucks. Also I may add that some sites don't specify as to any particular vin and I have found one of those sites that says I have 3.70 gears, but I can't validate that site because the last B was no where to be found on their site.

I was just under the impression that nearly all toyota's had like 4.10's or better. I guess it's pretty safe to say mine did not come from the factory with 31's.
Oh well, since I got this thing (3 weeks ago) I've been thinking about bigger tires, now I might as well go ahead and order 5.29's and put some 34" ltb's on.

two options. you can pull the third and count the teeth or lift the back and spin the wheels. That will tell you what you really have. I wouldnt trust that brian4x4 site completely. I guess you could call a dealer and give them your vin. They might be able to tell you more accurately than the website.
