3.0 rolling stop question!
I have the 3.0 v6 and when i push the clutch in and rolll to a stop, it will idle down real low, and kind of pulse.. it sounds like i have a big cam in the truck. is this ok? if not whats the problem?

Idle speed is rated at 800rpm +/-50rpm. So if it's going below 750rpm, yes, you have a problem.
Just a wild guess, and let fly without going through the usual check vacuum, fuel pump/filter etc., it could be that your clutch is not releasing fully.
Does it exhibit the same symptom if you shift into neutral and coast to a stop as opposed to holding the clutch in until it stops?

You just said the lights were pulsing with rpm. That shouldn't happen because your battery acts as a buffer, so when your alternator is at low rpm or not putting out around 14v, it will draw from the battery at that point. Usually what happens is when the battery goes bad, it will cause your alternator to go bad as well. Due to the fact you won't necessarily notice your battery is dying, until your alternator goes bad because you've been over using the alternator because the battery is weak. Has the battery been changed within 5-7 years? Is the alternator belt tight? Is there corrosion on the terminals? Are the terminals tight?

i had that problem and the vaccuum lines were misxed up concering the egr, vsv, and the actuator causing it to open and make it flutter only when slowing down and would go away the moment i stopped. re routed lines acording to diagram and checked for leaks and it hasn't done it since

Ok i unpluged the vaccum line from the top section of my EGR, and drove it down the road, and my problem was fixed, it coasted up to the stop sign without pulsing or anything.!! i got out and plugged it back in, and it all started back up again, so please telll me, Can i cap off the line and just drive the truck? do i need a new EGR valve? Are my lines all mixed up? whats my problem lol
