I thinks its a great idea over the k&n straw.

what do you think?
may be on my to buy list...

the box is designed alot better than our stock 3.0 boxes

quieter than K&N?

would this be quieter than a K&N setup with an ISR mod?

You ricers & your "cold air intakes"...

the stock setup works fine. Tests have shown almost ZERO difference in airflow with the K&N but huge differences in the amount of dirt let into the engine. Have you seen the size of the throat inside the VAFM? THAT is the REAL inhibitor with these systems. The throat is HALF the size of the intake tube.

It's all snake oil & mirrors, guys....

I agree that the stock set up works fine. However, a true Cold Air Intake is never a bad idea...however I've never seen a real cold air intake for a Toyota. You don't need more flow, but colder air is good for the engine. Giving a bigger freer flowing intake just serves to shift the power band higher, especially in the 3.slow.
