22re wont start
was running a little off (sputtering some times ) so i did a tune up, air filter, oil change, cap rotor plugs and wire. after that it did not get better and a couple days later it turned to bogging down and sputtering. so i thought fuel filter did one of those and now it will not start. i took the filter out and put the old one back in, nothing. i have looked over everything and it all looks good it will crank and the engine spins but wont fire up. has good spark and will start on starter fluid but dies once burning that off. any help would be great i am out of ideas and almost out of time before i need it driving again.

Some checks and a lot of good fuel pump info:

Were you hearing a clicking from the dash over on the passenger side? There's a circuit opening relay over there that controls the fuel pump. Mine came a little loose and started clicking and killing the engine. If you take the cover for the right side speaker off and the speaker out, you'll see it there. At least that's how my 87 4runner is. The way it works is that when senses that the afm is open (even just a little bit) it kicks the fuel pump on. That way the fuel pump isn't running if the engine isn't. Prevents fire in case of crash, fun stuff like that. Make sure all your intake piping is in place, if it is, i would check that circuit opening relay, it's not entirely uncommon for them to go bad. It would cause exactly the symptoms you're having.

Sounds stupid, but check the air intake hosing between TB and the airflow sensor. If there's a gash, the MAF readings and TPS readings won't match up.
