22re wont rev past 2000k rpms

Hey guys I'm new here but I want to share a problem I've been having.

Been running my 93 yoter for a month an a half now with an error code 52, truck has been running fine and a local mechanic said that if you feel nothing wrong go ahead and drive it. So yesterday while I was driving to work I hit a patch of ice and my truck fell down in the ditch/creek bed, probably sat at a 75 degree angle for about 35- 40 mins. Finally got it pulled out and there was nothing wrong with me or the vehicle and the way it was sitting in the water it never touched the engine and drove on to work with no problems. Then on the way home last night the CEL would flash 52 all the way home but the truck ran fines.. but tonight on the way home about a minute from my house the truck starts acting weird and wont let me get past 2000 rpms.. If anybody has a solution i would greatly appfeciate it.

A code 52 is your knock sensor which usually means your engines got issues. 80% of the time its a exposed wire or some kind of electrical issue. How does your engine run when its normal? any unusual sounds chain slap or loud ticks? (that dont sound like valves lol) your knock sensor almost never goes out but it can heres a link

http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...mString=search to autozone.

your knock sensor is located to the left side of your oil filter

Oh Ya man I forgot to say i knew it was a knock sensor code.. but it's weird how the CEL is flashing it while I'm driving now and why I can't rev past 2k rpms... and the truck ran fine even with the code... just some valve lash I believe

Are your motor mount any good. Sometimes the ground behind the motor, and about three other places, break when the motor is tossed around.. it will cause all types of weird electrical issues. Just a thought.

,Also, make sure your intake tube isn't cracked and/or leaking.

if it feels like hitting rev limit, disconect the tps and if it pass 2000rpm,usually is the deceleration fuel cut activated cause is seeing the tps "idle" signal when it shouldnt.

I have a aftermarket cold air intake and it's has given me a problem before.. like disconnecting from the pipe while driving and causing the truck the die while I'm driving. Also I recently replaced the gaskets on my timing chain cover and while I was adjusting the timing the intake was not giving me enough air for the engine to turnover.. but I finally got it going..

Also a friend said I could check the fuel filter and the MAF

Last time- the CEL is flashing code 52 while you're driving? If true, that's enough to make me worry, hence why I asked if there was something you weren't telling.

The CEL should be steady-state and not be flashing any codes at you unless it's been put into check mode and that won't happen without jumpering the terminals on the fender... or damaged wiring shorting out somewhere.
