22re screaming at me ??
I have a 88 4 runner with a 22re it has 193k on it. soo .. hear comes the story... when i got the truck the head gasket was blown. so i took the head to a machine shop it checked out ok, i put a new gasket and it ran pretty good a little sluggish but its also automatic. All summer ran great went wheeling constantly and then ended up towing a freinds car with it, my radiator died on me half way back from the desert basicly so i limped it and the car in tow home. when i got home i have exaqust smoke coming out of my radiator. i pulled the head it looked great like it had just got back from the shop but the gasket wasnt so lucky it split right on the egde of the cylinder to the starter wall. i replaced the gasket again and the only way i can get it to run is i adjusted my idle screw on the intake and i gotta really get on it to get it to idle constantly and its screaming like a really high pitched whistle its kinda coming from my egr valve area. so my thoughts i can drive it around just letting it scream until it dies completly or ?

Sounds like you may have a cracked head. You can't necessarily see a crack with the head cold, but as it heats the crack will grow. You definitely have a leak somewhere though. Have you tried checking the intake out with starting fluid or propane?

First, you need to make sure every vacuum hose is hooked up and in its correct place. There is usually a diagram under the hood, or plenty of images on the net.
When you are absolutely sure they are all on correct, with your truck idling, spray starter fluid on all the vacuum hose and connections one at a time, or as best you can. If your idle surges, smooths out, or stumbles, you have a leak.
By the way, you did hook up the big vacuum line going to the brake booster, right?

so when i sprayed starting fluid into the charcoal canister vac hose is reved really high and didnt wana come down very easily, and bolth of the vac hoses commin out of the intake made the trucks idle surge one slow and the other one made it a faster surge. i know all my lines are correct so does this mean my intake has a leak ??

Any change means you have a leak, it should not be able to suck anything in at the hose connections. You can try cuting some off the end and reconnecting, but the price for hose is pretty low you should probably just replace the questionable hoses.
They sell it by the foot at the parts store. Replace each section one piece at a time and you shouldn't have any problems like mixed up lines.
