22RE Problems
88 Pick-up 4WD 22RE Manual Shift.
New remanufactored long block, got it after engine was installed and had to do the wiring and vacuum hose hooking up. First 22RE that I've played with since mine's a 3.0 and it's being a problem. Hooked everything back up, I think not sure, but it fired right up and idles fairly good but when you open the throttle it starts pulsating up to about 2500 rpm and backdown. Nothing changes reguardless of where you hold it WOT or anywhere else until you release the throttle and then it will idle back down fairly steady. Ran out of time and light tonight so I've really haven't got to check it out to see what might be the problem but thought someone might be able to start me in the right direction. I do believe I hooked all the wiring back but will have to verify the vacuum routing tomorrow!! Somebody have an idea where to start. Never had this problem before, alway a rough idle but now it's just the opposite!! Dang my luck, I hate having to finish what somebody else started!! All ideas or suggestion are appreciated!!
