Like I said, it sounds just a smidgeon on the high side, but sounds like just 'bout every other 22re I've heard. Sounds pretty good, tho.........could just be me tho....

ADJUST THOSE VALVES!!! Dont worry though. The valves on my '93 were worse sounding than that, even after adjusting them 4 or 5 times. The idle might be a little too high. What is it set at right now?

wow, yeah sounds like the valves are still not adjusted right; have you adjusted them warm?
it's hard to tell idle speed by sound; I'd get a cheapo tach so that you can be certain; or I've seen some nice timing lights that have the function too
oh yeah, holy HELL that motor's clean looks nice

Well the high idle is normal if its cold. Mine would idle at 2400 rpm when it was -40F on start-up. The low idle you can adjust to 750-800 rpm very easily. You just need a flat-head screwdriver. What engine do you have?

Seems like the temp outside has a difference in idle a bit i'm sure its supose too but yea. Like that video it took of it was on a 80 degree day and it idled at 900-950 and today it was 50 and it idled at 1000-1100

yeah man thats completely normal. the idle is controlled by the temperature of the coolant. It idles higherr when its cold to warm the engine up faster. Like I said in my previous post, when it was -40F here, my idle was around 2400rpm until the engine warmed up.
