22re fuel system questions
All the yotas I have ever had over the years were carb units. I just recently picked up a nice 86 truck that I am guessing was the base model, (carbed, brown interior, no ac, no power steering, no chrome). It has a bad motor.
A few months back I picked up an 85 SR5, well half of one lol, and it has the 22RE in it. it really is in half, someone had a plow on it at one time and it rotted clean in half and all I got was the cab and frame from up front and all that came with it (motor, trans, harness, etc).
So, having half a truck leaves me with the questions of fuel lines and the fuel tank. How different s the lines for the carbed 22r compared to the 22re?? also is there an intank pump, and if there is can I put the pump and sender into a tank for carbed truck??
heres a pic of the truck cause everybody like pics
I will be doing a write up on it when I get started, plans are the RE installation, SR5 interior and all that comes with it, 5% tint, 20" chromies, and lime green paint. this should be an easy one compared to the clean up job I did on my other yota lol

You can swap the 22RE into your 86 truck, you will need to swap the wiring harness and everything related into the 86 truck, including the gad tank and fuel lines, but the good thing is that everything will swap over and bolt in. You can also do a solid axle swap into the 86 truck.

the harness and ecu i planned on doing for the motor, but also because the donor truck has all the SR5 bells and whistles and I will need it for those also. guess I gotta hunt down some fuel parts. the entire tank is different or just what bolts inside of it??
