22RE - Factory Cruise Control Setup

My Toyota Pickup is missing Cruise Control and I really would like to add that option as I prefer cruise on long trips. I want to go factory instead of aftermarket solutions.

I was at the junk yard the other weekend and I was able to score a mint 4Runner Steering wheel with all the Cruise Control buttons. It was a easy install to replace my existing steering. Plus, I now have Tilt as well :-)

Based on the FSM, I need the following parts to make this happen.

1. Cruise Control Servo Motor / Actuator
2. Cruise Control ECU
3. Cruise Control Relay
4. Clutch Switch
5. Stop Light Switch
6. Parking Brake Switch
7. Neutral Position Switch

I feel that I can salvage Parts 3-7 from a V6 SR5 Truck in the junk yards, but #1 and #2 might be 22RE specific.

Can someone who has Cruise Control in their 22RE equipped 90's Toyota Truck identify the Toyota P/N for the following:

1. Cruise Control Servo Motor / Actuator
2. Cruise Control ECU

Thanks.

On my '87 4Runner, it was a factory option. I thought that the vehicle would come with the same main wire regardless if it had CC or not. I was wrong. At least for my series of vehicles there were two separate harnesses - Total PITA to convert if you have to change harnesses.

My point is to confirm that you have a bunch of pigtails just hanging there waiting to have CC parts plugged in. My *guess* is that you do not....but I don't know either way.

Confirming that is a good first step nonetheless.

This seems rather disappointing. Anybody with a 1989-95 Toyota Pickup bodystyle who has a 22RE and factory cruise. I can figure out the wiring, just need to know the matching

Servo Regulator PN
Cruise Control Computer PN

I noticed that there is no connection between ECU and CC. Its a completely independent system.

Any progress on this? I'm curious if it's possible.

It's a 10 year old thread, but I wonder if he got the cruise done?
