22re experts please help me with my DD!! Will not idle
Ok having some problems with my 22re. I was up in the mountains yesterday doing some wheeling in the snow!!!!! Snow does not happen in GA. But anyways I hit some mud not knowing how deep it was. Ended up going to my hood line. After a got out my engine would not kick down in RPM’s. Like if I push in the clutch and instead of going 600rpm witch is my idle it goes to 3,000 witch is what I was at when I was in gear.Does the same thing if i put it in neutral. Does not do it all the time but about every 1 out of three time i push the clutch in.Also if the rpm sticks at 3,000 or what ever it is when i push the clutch in if a tap the gas it will kick down. Let it dry out a day and still the same way any ideas?

Im going to throw out some ideas, i don`t know if they will help but its worth a try. Remove the AFM and clean it out, make sure the flapper door moves freely and does not stick at all, if it does you might have to replace it. The other thing to check is the TPS and throttle body, if the TPS got wet chances are that its bad, remove the throttle body and clean it real good and use a meter to test the TPS, if its bad you will have to replace it.
