22RE Exhaust Leak need help ASAP

my truck has had an exhaust leak for about a week. I went to the local parts store and got what they told me was the donut gasket. I got home and looked at the spare manifold i had lying around and cant for the life of me find out where this gasket goes. I looked at my truck and reached up beside the manifold and felt air blowing out the drivers side of where the manifold bolts to the y-pipe. Im assuming i got the wrong gasket as it appears that the manifold takes a regular flat gasket. Does anyone know what the technical name for this part is, or better yet the part number? I was planning on doing this today, but it appears that that probably wont be happening.

Depends where the leak is coming from. Theres a gasket that goes between the head and manifold (header gasket, exhaust manifold gasket) then there are TWO that go between the manifold and downpipe (downpipe donut gasket) then theres one on either side of the cat converter. The two that go between the mani and down pipe are NOT the same size as the converter gaskets.

im guessing the 2 gaskets are round? would they fit in the 2 holes in the bottom of the manifold? do you know a part number for these? thanks for the help.

Sorry, dont know part numbers.
On the bottom of the mani, should be the exhaust holes and a slightly larger impression around the actual holes for the gaskets.

If you can take an old exhaust donut it is easier to get the right ones. The part store has trouble looking up the right ones for some reason.

Give yourself a few hours. The most difficult part is going to be breaking the bolts loose. They WILL be rusted and MOST LIKELY will strip. It would be a good idea to replace the studs and nuts at this time. Very good idea to...

Hit the change vehicle, put in your rigs info, and look up any part number you may need.

Exhaust is under the Tool/Engine/Fuel tab.
