22RE Engine Won't Start, Electrical
I recently purchased a 94 Base 4x4 Pickup. When i bought the truck the engine was beside it on the ground. I rebuilt the engine, but in putting it back in i've ran into troubles, this is my first toyota and i didn't take the engine out. I have worked a lot of the bugs out but there are many more. I have replaced my ignitor and have fire and injector pulse. I used to have a full functioning fuel pump out of a 89, it worked with the key and everything. Then i found a couple more grounds to hook up. One was a 3-wired (red/pink) brass connector to the plenum and the other was a single wire from the firewall to the valve cover. When i hooked these two up and the ignitor my fuel pump has quit working. No power to the unit at all. If I unhook the 3-wired ground I can get the pump to engage but have to ground the wire again to shut it off the key won't. There is a clicking under the hood when i turn the key to start, but no fuel pump.
