sounds like it started over heating could be a t-stat wich are very easy to change just make sure you get the dual staged ones from the dealer

I'd replace the Thermostat and the radiator cap. All the books will tell you to test them but they're so damn cheap just get new ones.
T-stat replacement is probably the easiest (besides the cap ) maintnence you'll ever do to a yota =)

Hmm, it never gave me a sign of overheating... And the t-stat is brand new! It is one with the little bypass valve as well.
The radiator cap, eh? Think it could be leaking?
