22re to 22r swap no fuel
I just finished converting a 22re to a 22r. got it all put together and in my truck and now its not getting fuel. All the parts are off of my old engine. I just cant figure it out. Is something different on the 22re?

fuel pumps are different, injected and carb. which pump you trying to use? did you remove the one from the tank and use the one for the carb set up? did you accidently connect to the wrong line ie return line? wiring?

You did remove the fuel pump in the tank??
Maybe your running a fuel pressure regulator without one you will push past the needle valve and fill the cylinders with fuel
then maybe the manual pump
Just which way did you go??
Electric pump no signal to turn pump on??
Manual pump lines not hooked up or on wrong ??
Manual pump to weak to pull through electric pump and efi fuel filter??
No fuel in tank??
It pretty much is one of these.

ok a 22re converted to a 22r using all the parts from the original motor and installed in the truck that had a 22r originaly. its usually the opposite. you said no fuel. do you mean no fuel to carb or fuel in carb not getting to the motor from the carb? as said already, bad line, fiter and or pump. are you using efi filter? line get pinched? mechanical pump arm/rod riding on th ecentric properly? wrong line connected? needle stuck in carb? major vac leak between carb and head? which head did you use? did you install the ecentric if you used the efi head? if you had the head off is the cam timed correctly? (not drawing air thru the carb will not draw fuel thru either) these are just a few things that come to mind. hope it helps.
