22r will not idle below 3,400 rpm.
I've tried all the basics. Checking vacuum lines. Tightening bolts around the intake manifold tightening down the carb, checked my timing. Nothing changed it. Fiddled with the adjustment screws on the carb. Nothing changed at all. Is there anything else that could cause this? Thanks guys. I'm on my last nerve with this thing.

This is what it's doing. I know nothing of carbs but i checked out that fast idle cam, I'm assuming it's electrically operated well when I crank it if I hold the plate closed or nest to closed the idle drops down to about normal, runs like crap but the idle does drop. I can manually close it before I crank the truck but as soon as I turn it on it readjusts itself to open again.

There are two idle speed screws. One is a Fast Idle, when the choke is engaged, and the other is the regular idle speed screw, once the engine is up to operating temperature.
Just to confirm, which screw(s) did you adjust?

Thanks for trying to help me out guys. After taking a step back from the truck for a day I went out to it and decided to just look and observe everything, I found that there is part of the linkage on the carb that isn't even connected looks like it should be, some of the linkage also looks bent so I've decided to just order a weber carb. It will eliminate almost all my vacuum lines (which I hate dealing with) and give me a fresh start.
