22R gass mileage

ok...'86 yota ext cab 4x4 5spd..22R...looking to get better MPG's out of it...any ways to do that...like...idk..exhaust..um...anything else...im getting about 21 highway...but was wondering if I could increase it any..im running 235/75R15 tires...but soon to be 30x9.50's....so..im gonna be down to about 19.5 or 20.5 MPG's...any help is surely appreciated...thanks!

uh... drive like grandma, keep up on maintenance, lean out the carb so you'll have no power but get a lot of MPGs... what u complainin about its a 22r, its got a carburetor, and its not as efficient at fuel economy as EFI is. your gettin better mileage than i am right now! be glad! lol

Driving slow actually hurts your MPG so I've heard.

honestly, i prefer carburation too. but i like my efi cuz i can be at a steep angle, and my truck wont sputter and die. my old chevy did that, got to too steep of an angle, and it would sputter, backfire, then die. maybe it has to do with the fact that it was a 350 and had a holley 850 carburetor on it.... but i didnt say that... shhhh

just checked mine 21 and my speedo is off by 4mph this is btw my 88 22re
