22R Fuel cut solenoid issues.

First post here, I'm looking for some help with my 87 pickup. The fuel cut solenoid is bad which caused a very rough idle and dying at idle. I pulled it and replaced it with a bolt to plug the hole. The idle issue is solved, I assume the solenoid was stuck restricting fuel at idle. Now, the issue I am having is it diesels when I shut it off since the solenoid is out. I can't seem to find a replacement solenoid anywhere. This is a California Truck if that matters. Does anyone know where to find this part, are there any aftermarket ones that will fit? Or is there any other way to stop it from dieseling at shutoff without the solenoid? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try looking here: http://www.toyotapartsoverstock.com/

I'm not familiar enough with the 22r to be able to figure out what you are talking about, but you know.

Then you might want to post the part number, in case someone after you finds this thread with the same question.

The part is discontinued. You can verify with a local dealer.
Part number for 8/83 - 8/87 is 21062-35010
Part number for 8/87 - 8/88 is 21062-35430
Part number for California 8/86 - 8/87 is 21062-35430

The o-ring for the solenoid is still available, part number 21655-44101.

If it's a manual trans, foot on brake, clutch depressed and in gear, pop clutch and turn off ignition switch at the same time. Did it like that for years on a manual trans 79 Datsun 510.

Use this link to find part numbers. https://www.japan-parts.eu/toyota/eu
Click on YEAR to select your year. Then you can click on MODEL to select your model. Once that's selected you can select Frame Code then Characteristics. After that a new window will load with different categories with diagrams and part numbers. Within a diagram click on a 5 digit part #, this will open a popup with the 10 digit part number. Use that 10 digit number to search the net or a local dealer site for availability.
